Notification on termination of business – farmers and forest owners
Farmers are agricultural operators. Agricultural operators include self-employed individuals conducting agricultural and forestry operations, spouses conducting such operations together, and estates of deceased people conducting such operations.
Forest owners, or forestry operators, are private individuals, estates or spouses owning forest together.
Farmers and forest owners that wind up their operations must submit a notification on termination of business to the Finnish Tax Administration. If the farmer/forest owner has a company name registered in the Trade Register, the same notification form is used in order to inform the Finnish Patent and Registration Office of the termination.

Submit a notification of termination online
You can submit a notification on termination of business to the register of employers, prepayment register, VAT register and Trade Register electronically.
To log in, you will need a Finnish personal ID and your personal online banking codes or a mobile certificate or an electronic ID card (chip card).
Alternatively, you can submit the notification on paper using Form Y6. You can find the form and related instructions at the end of this page. Complete the form on your computer and print it out in A4 format. Sign the form and send it to the address stated on the form.
