Notification of termination - housing companies

According to law, a housing company cannot be informally dissolved. Instead it can only be dissolved by liquidation or bankruptcy. Read the instructions on the PRH website (in Finnish and in Swedish).Open link in a new tab

File termination of a housing company to the Trade Register using a paper form

A housing company is deemed to have been dissolved once the liquidators have presented the final accounts to the General Meeting. Report termination of a housing company to the Trade Register using form Y4 and appendix form 15 (available only in Finnish and in Swedish). Use form Y4 also for filing notifications to the Tax Administration’s Employer Register, Prepayment Register and VAT Register.

Termination notifications are free of charge.

It is not yet possible for housing companies to report notifications of termination online.

Save the form to your computer to be able to fill it in. Fill in the forms – either in Finnish or in Swedish – on your computer, then print them at A4 size, and send them to the address given on the form.

  • To notify termination only with the Tax Administration, use form Y4.
  • To notify termination of a housing company, use form Y4 and Appendix Form 15 in Finnish or in Swedish.

Remove the housing company from the Tax Administration's registers online

If you wish, you can keep the housing company in the Trade Register but remove it from the Tax Administration’s Employer Register, Prepayment Register and VAT Register. In this case, file a notification of changes online.
