Start-up notification - general and limited partnerships

General partnerships and limited partnerships must file a start-up notification before starting their activities. From the beginning of 2016, general partnerships and limited partnerships will be formed through registration. If parties have previously agreed on forming a partnership that has not yet been registered, then a transitional provision applies.

A new general or limited partnership must always be registered with the Trade Register. You can use the same notification form to register with the VAT Register, Employer Register, and Prepayment Register, which are maintained by the Tax Administration.

General partnership notifications must be signed by any of the partners, and limited partnership notifications by any of the general partners, or by someone authorized by the partners.

It is not yet possible for partnerships to file their start-up notifications online.

Please scroll down for the forms. Fill in the form - either in Finnish or in Swedish - on your computer, then print it at A4 size, and send it to the address given on the form.

If you already have the memorandum of association and other required documents completed, or the formation package is otherwise unsuitable for you, file your notification following the instructions on the PRH website. Go to the instructionsOpen link in a new tab .

Pay a handling fee
